THE CONSTITUTION OF AGBARHO GRAMMAR SCHOOL OLD STUDENT’S REUNION CLASS 2001.

Preamble/Introduction

We the old students of Agbarho Grammar School having firmly and solemnly come together to live in peace and harmony as one people, mind herby enact and give to ourselves the following constitution to guide us.

SECTION 1

(NAME)

The name of the reunion shall be called and addressed as THE CONSTITUTION OF AGBARHO GRAMMAR SCHOOL OLD STUDENT’S REUNION (AGSOSR) CLASS 2001.

SECTION 2

ADDRESS

The register office of the reunion shall be the school address in Agbarho Delta State Nigerian

SECTION 3

(MEETING)

1.There shall be an online meeting once in every month for all members.

2.There shall be an emergency meeting when the need arises.

3.There shall be weekly activities such as:

Ø Monday : health talk

Ø Tuesday: roll call and searching for now member.

Ø Wednesday: topic regarding children, puberty, peers group, adolescence, and how to raise Godly children

Ø Thursday: advert on the kind of business(es) you are into

Ø Friday: teachings on couple infirmary, sexual satisfaction, and enhancement.

Ø Saturday: legal matters, the you have over some personals

Ø Sunday: jokes, tell us how you spend you Sunday.

SECTION 4

(THE SUPREMACY OF THE CONSTITUTION)

The constitute=ion is supreme and its provisions shall have binding force on all the registered members of the reunion and any other rules and regulation that may be made or enacted by any authorised working committee / Board of Trusting.

SECTION 5

(MOTTO, SLOGAN AND LOGO)

1. The motto of the reunion shall be MULTUM IN PARVO which simply means MUCH IN LITTLE SPACE.

2. The slogan of the reunion shall be “Great AGS 2001, and our response shall be STRENGTH OF OUR TIME.

3. The logo of the reunion shall be AGS 2001 includes its response STRENGTH OF OUR TIME.

SECTION 6

(AIMS AND OBJECTIVES)

1. To know ourselves

2. To have one heart, one mind, and dwell in righteousness, there shall be no poor amongst us.

3. The reunion shall provide equipments or facilities as a project to the school.

4. To protect the good name of the school.

5. To act as an adviser to the student of the school.

6. To work towards unity of each other.

7. To work towards attaining greatness.

8. To create an atmosphere for common understanding among classmates.

9. To know the welfare of each other.

SECTION 7

(MEMBERSHIP)

1. Any ex-student who attain SS3 in the year 2001

2. Any ex-student from Jss3 – SS2(from year 1998 to 2000)

3. A member shall register upon payment of registration fee and dues

4. A register of all members shall be kept in the office and online which shall be updated time to time as new members joins.

5. No member is allow to join two old student reunion / association

SECTION 8

(MADE OF ELECTIONS)

1. The office of the president, treasure, and financial secretary shall be contested for.

2. The office of the president, treasure, and financial secretary shall be a married person

3. Elected president shall fill vacant offices by appointment.

4. The duration for each tenure is 4 years and there is room for re-election.

SECTION 9

(DISCIPLINES)

1. All member shall display a high absence of discipline in their utterances and conduct, both at meeting and in pubic.

2. Any member distracting the peace and unity of this house shall be exited and to face the disciplinary committee and to be treated accordingly.

3. For the person of this constitution, misconduct is highly prohibited; absence from meeting for three consecutive times, negligence of duties, misappropriation of funds, fraudulent practices, non payment of dues and vulgar languages shall be treated accordingly.

4. A member who is under suspension or expelled shall forgone all privileges and barred from participating in activities of the reunion.

5. Any member who join other old students reunion or association will sanction by the 2001 reunion with fine of #100000 weather the same or different year

6.Any member who refuses to pay his/her dues or fine will be remove from the AGS Class 2001 Reunion Group.

SECTION 10

(FINANCE)

1. Sales of constitution and stickers.

2. Members shall pay dues of #500 per month or a once-off payment 0f #4500 per annual.

3. Generous donation by members, public, or government.

4. Fund rising activities as approved by the auditing committee.

5. The reunion shall support celebrant such as marriage ceremony, burial and child’s dedication.

6. Money realized in meeting should be paid into the reunion’s account within the period of 48 hours by the treasurer or financial secretary.

7. The union financial year shall commence in every January end November.

8. No money will be used or disburse without paying the money into the reunion bank.

11.2 Disciplinary committee members as follows:

Members of board of trusts as chairman.

Three other members from the general house appointed by the chairman.

Provost.

11.3 Auditing committee members are member of board of trustees as chairman.

Three other members from the general house appointed by the chairman.

11.4 Board of trustees are seven members of AGS class 2001 prefect.

The chairman is appointed by themselves.

SECTION 12

(DUTIES/POWER OF GOVERN BODY)

1. President:

He/she shall preside at all the meetings.

He/she is responsible for proper conduct of meetings.

He/she is responsible for general supervision of the affairs reunion and its properties.

He/she shall direct the secretary to call for meetings.

He/she shall be reasonable for End of the year activities.

He/she shall be one the three signatory to the bank account of the reunion.

He/she shall approved all expenditures.

He/she can not withdraw money from the bank account.

He/she concludes all meetings.

2. Vice President:

He/she shall perform all duties of the president in his absence.

3. Secretary:

Prepare agenda for meeting/activities.

Keep track of assignments.

4. Admit:

Is two members of board of trustees and the president of the reunion

Interview members

Collect members data and send the information to the board of trustees for scrutiny.

Remove members from the group, when no vote of confidence is pass by disciplinary committee.

Charge of posting of birthday/activities.

5. Treasurer:

He/she shall receive all collections made in meetings/activated

He/she shall deposits all collections made within 48hours into the reunion bank account.

He shall keep accurate and true records of all money disbursed or withdrawn from reunion bank account

He/she shall be custodian of tellers, cheque booklets, payment vouchers and expenses receipts.

He/she shall prepare and process all requests for release of money

He/she shall not withdraw or make any payment from the reunion bank account.

He/she shall prepare and submit every six months statement of reunion account, incomes and expenditures to the audit committee.

He/she shall be one of the signatory to the reunion bank account.

6. Financial Secretary:

He/she shall collect all money in meetings/activities and record them.

He/she shall handover all to the treasurer.

He/she shall not withdraw or make any payment from the reunion bank account.

He/she shall make deposits of all collections in meeting/activities within 48hours on absents of treasure.

He/she shall be one of the signatory to the reunion bank account.

7. P.R.O

He/she is in charge of all matters pertaining publication in consultation with president.

8. Welfare Officer:

He/she is in charge of welfare matters.

9. Legal Adviser:

He/she shall be member of the AGS 2001 reunion students.

He/she is charge of legal matters.

10. Provost:

He/she is charge of peace and orderliness

11. Patrons / matrons

He/she shall advise the meeting when necessary.

SECTION 13

(BOARD OF TRUSTEES)

13.1 They shall be members of AGS 2001class perfects.

13.2 The oversee all matters that happen in the house

13.3 They shall not contest for the any position of the ex cos

13.4 They shall swear in the president

13.5 The president is answerable to them

13.6 All handover shall complete in complete in section 14 handover.

13.7 They appoint chairman by the members.

SECTION 14

(PRECEEDING OF MEETINGS)

14.1 Every meeting shall begin with an opening and closing prayer.

14.2 There shall be Agenda for every meeting.

14.3 Any member who wishes to speak shall signify by hand to attract the attention of the president

14.4 Any distraction of violation of decorum in meeting shall attract a fine of #500.

14.5 No matter until he/she is recourse by the president.

14.6 The president stand is final in every matters.

14.7 Adjournment is move by a member and second by another member.

SECTION 15

(HAND OVER)

15.1 An outgoing officer shall prepare in double account of his/her steamship.

15.2 He/she shall return all reunion property under.

15.3 swear in an elected officers is done in general meetings.

Sections oath of office

Any officer assuming office shall take oath as follows:
